Jay Yass Joins SpectraRep to Head Sales Efforts
(Chantilly, VA, August 12, 2002) - SpectraRep, a leader in designing and provisioning
end-to-end digital content distribution solutions utilizing digital television, today
announced that Jay Yass has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Yass is responsible
for focusing sales efforts in the business-to-business marketplace. He will report directly
to Rick Ducey, President of SpectraRep.
Yass has more than 25 years of sales and marketing management experience in telecommunications
and satellite networking. Prior to joining SpectraRep, Yass was Vice President of Business
Development at ViaCast, an end-to-end satellite broadband IP solutions provider. Prior to
ViaCast, Yass held positions in Business Development and Sales at Xybernaut Corporation,
where he negotiated the technology and marketing agreement with Texas Instruments for new
generation wireless and speech recognition capabilities. Yass was also Director of Major
Account Sales and Director, Asia-Pacific Operations for Telogy Networks, Inc. (now Texas
Instruments), a provider of integrated Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions.
Hiring Yass is the most recent step in SpectraRep's strategy to increase its presence in the
marketplace through a strong sales and marketing team. "Our market intelligence indicates
a need and a readiness in corporations and learning institutions to find a communications
solution for delivering digital content to diverse audiences in a way that is more cost
