Mark
O'Brien serves as Executive Vice
President of
SpectraRep®
and is
coordinates
technology research and development.
In addition, he oversees station and
technology partner relations. O'Brien
joined BIA Financial Network, the
SpectraRep®
parent
company, as Vice President of the
research division where he was
responsible for new product design and
implementation, joint venture
coordination and MIS operations. He was
regularly involved in the operation of
the research and consulting divisions
with an emphasis on special projects.
Prior to
joining BIAfn, O'Brien was a broker of
broadcast properties with the respected
firm of R.C. Crisler & Company in
Cincinnati, Ohio. As a loan recovery
officer at PNC Bank Ohio, he advised the
bank on strategy for recovering
distressed broadcast loans and developed
in house procedures and valuation
models. He has also owned and managed
radio properties in Lincoln, Nebraska
and Benton, Pennsylvania, a suburb of
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. O'Brien
performed brokerage and appraisal
services while employed at the Holt
Corporation. He also represented Holt as
a consultant and management
troubleshooter for distressed radio
properties and sold broadcast equipment.
He has experience in advertising sales
and as chief engineer at Holt owned WZZO-FM
in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
O'Brien's
career began as a radio personality at
WGPA-AM in Allentown, PA. He was an
instructor of radio and television
production at Northampton County
Community College and has on air
experience at WZZO-FM in Allentown, WRTI-FM
Philadelphia and WIOQ-FM Philadelphia.
O'Brien
earned his B.A. degree in communications
and business, with a concentration in
radio, television and film production,
from Temple University in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. |
