SpectraRep Technology Extends Rave Mobile Safety Platform with ActiveAlert Emergency Desktop Notifications
CHANTILLY, Va.–(EON: Enhanced Online News)–SpectraRep, LLC, a leading provider of solutions for homeland security and public safety, today announced the integration of their ActiveAlert™ technology, an emergency desktop notification solution, with Rave Mobile Safety, provider of best-in-class, highly available mass notification solutions for enterprises, school districts, and institutions nationwide.
This integration of ActiveAlert allows clients using the Rave platform to automatically extend emergency alerts to users’ computers. Clients can issue the ActiveAlert notifications through the Rave platform, while at the same time issuing a series of broadcast text messages, emails and phone calls. The ActiveAlert service also extends security-alerting protocols by allowing end users who haven’t enrolled in Rave to receive emergency alerts through school and enterprise computers.
“We are happy to partner with SpectraRep,” said Tom Axbey, Rave Mobile Safety CEO. “Our primary objective is the safety and security of all individuals in our clients’ communities. ActiveAlert helps us achieve that objective.
The ActiveAlert desktop solution is a non-intrusive, light-weight application that is operable in all computer environments without interfering with campus or enterprise servers or network environments. When installed, the application sits in the desktop tray of computers and only activates when emergency officials issue alerts. Alerts appear within seconds after issuance as a pop-up message or scrolling text crawl. The integration of ActiveAlert with Rave gives clients the ability to send emergency alerts through the most vital communication channels to include text, email, social media, mobile, and the desktop.
“We are pleased to be collaborating with Rave Mobile Safety to bring their emergency notification system to the computer desktop,” said Tom Buono, SpectraRep CEO. “Our combined solution extends the opportunity to warn people during emergency situations. The result will assist in the well-being of all end users.”
The new integrated solution is available today for purchase. Installation of ActiveAlert onto Mac and PC systems is accomplished within two weeks. The training and integration of ActiveAlert into Rave takes about 30 minutes. Prices for ActiveAlert service are scaled based on student and enterprise population.
